Hi! My name is Thorin Loeks, I am a singer-songwriter from the Yukon Territory. Canada.My creative energy really comes from believing deeply in the human spirit. In my view, every person inherently has unique gifts, perspectives, and unbelievable potential. To develop and actualize these, though, is a world of fascinating questions, challenges, relationships, and journeys.Over the last decade, I have canoed and bicycled over 20,000 km across North America, meeting many incredible people from all walks of life, which have been foundational experiences for my views on life, songwriting, and musical style.Thank you so much for joining me here! I currently have what I think are some of the best songs I have ever written ready to go and with your help, I plan to head back into the studio and record/release at least 12 of them over this coming year.Along with this mission and updates about my new album, I am really excited to be sharing regular, high quality content with you here in 2024:<ol><li>I plan to share a weekly exclusive music performance video here (every Wednesday).</li><li>Exclusive weekly video sharing my thoughts (every Friday), which will be a mix of a life chat, touching base, my thanks, gratitude, and encouragement for all the wonderful people who are joining me here.</li><li>I also plan to have a monthly Q &amp; A open to all patrons (close to the 15th of every month).</li></ol>Beyond recording and releasing my next album, new songs, and videos, my current major mission, as some of you know, is to finish canoeing across America from the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico in 2024. Right now my canoe is being safely stored over the winter with friends in Mobridge, South Dakota. The plan to return this coming summer to paddle the remaining 3000 miles to the Gulf of Mexico.I have done this to be fulfill a childhood dream, do something really difficult that inspires me to push beyond what I originally thought were my limits, write new meaningful music (a lot of which will appear on this next album), and to learn more about what happiness, community, connection, and self empowerment means to different people I meet along the way.I have also been recording an en route podcast (over 2022 and 2023) about the journey while sharing some of the insights and perspectives of interesting people I connect with, called, "Journey to the Heart", which I will continue this coming year. You can find this podcast on most streaming services.After doing 12 episodes with some incredible people along the rivers in 2022 and 2023, I will be resuming for season 3 when I start paddling again and will provide you guys with exclusive updates and behind the scene content when that commences again this coming spring/summer.Every dollar you contribute here will be put into these creative projects and missions.
